Project Life cover page

I decided that I wanted to make a cover page using 12x12 paper. I tried different things using Bazzill paper, but I ended up using one of the 12x12 patterned papers that was included in the Project Life kit. I took pictures of it (I apologize that they aren't the best), and you can get an idea of what I did.

As you can see when you look at the title I made a mistake with the letter C. It's backwards. At first I was really upset, and I wanted to change it, but then I thought, well, it's an OOPSIE, but life is full of them, so let it be. I used Memory Makers foam letters (I'm sorry I don't know the name of that font) and I used black photo corners.

I am not ready to post LO's yet of PL, I still need to do the journaling. Hopefully this weekend.

Project Life

I made a cover page for my Project Life album. I hope to post it shortly. I am up to date on printing my pictures, but I have to write my journaling on my cards. I had it written out on index cards, now I need to neatly write them out on the journaling cards. I'll post my LO's of the album soon. I promise!!

43 Degrees in Florida during the day today!! What can I say about that? It felt like I was back in Holland, it was so cold, wet from the rain and windy, just like Holland. I miss Holland but not this weather!

Connor, my baby!! Well, not such a baby anymore. This day he wanted to snuggle up with a blanket on the big chair. We've had cold weather in Florida all week, low 50's for highs and at night around 30 degrees. Brrrrr!! (OK, this might be considered balmy for you folks up north!! LOL!

I love watching Cameron read. He likes to read, even though sometimes it's hard to get him started. But then as soon as he starts, you can't stop him. He loves to get as many reading counts points as possible.

AVATAR!!!!!!!! Do I need to say more?? I took Cameron and his best friend to see Avatar in IMAX 3D today. What an amazing movie, almost 3 hours long. I've never seen anything like it. Cameron saw it twice. I did feel a little dizzy afterward, my legs felt wobbly. But what a movie!!

I am always sad to put the Christmas decorations away. I bought a few new things this year (finally!)at Target (the Birchwood Challet collection). I cannot wait to put that tree up again. Only 11 more months to go....

POTD (Picture of the Day) 01-01-10

Happy New Year!! All by myself, sick, watching TV. I actually did not did not even fall asleep this time. I watched Rockin' New Year's Eve with Ryan Seacrest. David and Cameron were at a party and Connor and I stayed home together.

Project Life

Hi Everyone, it's been a few weeks since I've posted. But here I am again.

Last year scrapbooking artist Becky Higgins came out with Project 365, you take a picture each day for a year and put them in an album. There was a Project 365 kit for it, but unfortunately I was not able to get one. I made one myself with papers from the Friendly Forest line from Colorbok. I started on my birthday last year in March and will continue till my next birthday with this album. I did not take a picture each day, I just forgot on a lot of days, but it will be a great album once it's done. I will post some pictures later of some of the pages that are done so you can see what it looks like and might give you some ideas of making your own Project 365 kit.

This year Becky Higgins came out with fabulous new kit called Project Life ........... It is an amazing kit. It is like the Project 365 kit, you take a picture each day (if you can) and make an album of all the daily stuff that goes on in your life. I will post pictures of my pages that I've done so far. I started on January 1st with this project and will do it for 2010.

I will also try to stay up on posting my POTD (Picture of the Day). And until my birthday comes along in March I will have to do 2 POTD's, one for my Project Life and 1 for my Project 365 that I'm still finishing for my 38th year of life, HA!

I look forward to seeing other blogs of people that are doing Project Life, it's a lot of fun to see what everyone is coming up with.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

Happy New Year to everyone!! I hope everyone had a great and safe New Year. I was sick this year, so not such a great night for me. David and Cameron went to our friend's house and Connor and I hung out together. I feel much better today, but Connor does not feel so good. He's on the couch with a blanket and pillow, watching his favorite videos. This child cannot get enough of The Wiggles!! Or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for that matter.

A new year, a fresh start. I really hope to get started on working out again, and sticking with it. I have not worked out for years, yes, I know it's terrible! I want to eat better and lose 25 lbs, that would be great! I hope to have more time for myself, which is nearly impossible. But a girl needs her time, going to the grocery store by myself seems to be the highlight of the week! There has to be better time by myself that going to the grocery store.......................

I also want to scrap more, much more. It's my favorite hobby. If David gets to play golf, I get to scrap!! I have so many projects that I want to do. I just want to get all my pictures in albums to enjoy them. I still have to print most of my pictures of 2009..............every time I try to keep up, but something always gets in the way. It should not be a big deal to just print your pictures each month, but for some reason, it's hard to get that accomplished!
