Project Life January and February 2011

In 2010 I did Becky Higgins' Project Life and I loved it At the end of the year I had a gorgeous album filled with so many pictures. My kids love looking at it all the time. For 2011 I still wanted to do Project Life, but not with a picture each day. It may sound weird, but the pressure of taking a picture each and every day was not something I wanted to do this year. I wanted to use as many pictures as possible, basically all the pictures I took, but still do it the Project Life way. I also have so many scrapbook kits that I wanted to use. So I decided to try and use Project Life elements but still use my own paper stash. I bought a binder, page protectors and the journal cards. From the scrapbook kits that I have I cut pieces of paper into 4x6 and the size of the journal cards. I have included pictures in the post below of my January and February pictures from 2011. Somehow it's hard to take good pictures of these pages, you have to turn your flash OFF so it won't reflect on the page protector. Besides patterned paper I also used stickers that were in the scrapbook kits I used. I also use the date stamp that came with the Project Life kit I bought in 2010. At times I used a corner rounder punch to make the papers have the same shape as the journal cards. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Project Life cover page

I decided that I wanted to make a cover page using 12x12 paper. I tried different things using Bazzill paper, but I ended up using one of the 12x12 patterned papers that was included in the Project Life kit. I took pictures of it (I apologize that they aren't the best), and you can get an idea of what I did.

As you can see when you look at the title I made a mistake with the letter C. It's backwards. At first I was really upset, and I wanted to change it, but then I thought, well, it's an OOPSIE, but life is full of them, so let it be. I used Memory Makers foam letters (I'm sorry I don't know the name of that font) and I used black photo corners.

I am not ready to post LO's yet of PL, I still need to do the journaling. Hopefully this weekend.

Hope you all have a great day!

Cameron is getting so big. Now he's using my computer sometimes to get his homework done. I love watching him work.

This is a close up picture of my favorite silk flower arrangement I have in my office. I've had it for a long time, and I still love the colors.
